Every friday morning around 7 am you will find me in my pjs running across the lawn to my neighbors -may they remain nameless (Hi lesa and Jason!) lugging my recycles over to their bins.  My town doesnt recycle all the good stuff
so I am so excited to have this (illegal) opportunity to be able to recycle
cardboard, junk mail and food cartons.

Recycling legos and junk mail all in a days work.

     

I started the Forever Young line for fun and really had no idea of the potential.
It resonates with such a range of people, from architects and people who love design, new moms, and young
boys excited about their first pair of cuff links!  Customers share their stories from the past and children who
are still playing with legos get excited.  Its one of those things so many people can relate to and its
gratifying to get such wonderful feedback on a regular basis and a new nickname!

     

Support the arts..or in my husbands case support an artist
I am not going to make every blog a thank you but bare with me on this one because of course I have to take this
moment to announce to the world what a great husband I have and how very supportive he is-
from helping to set up for outdoor shows at 5am, to the wind blowing our tent TWICE and having to saw it apart
by hand to be able to pick it up and throw it away, to helping me lug my exhibit furniture up and down the attic stairs, dealing with me working all hours of the night...........and most of all believing in me!

My husband reminds me that I am working hard to do what I love to do and that has to be enough.
So to Jose Antonio Sanchez my soul mate, if it wasnt for you I would not have the courage to take the leap and
own my own business-I dedicate this blog to you.

Most of you know the making of this website has been a long journey and some friends were lost along the way.  Some where in between it all I met a dear friend Petra Geiger (aka my BFF) who is the founder of Beehive Co-op in Atlanta and has built franchises in New york and soon to open one in Ohio. She has just launched her newly designed website Beehiveshop. She plays a very active role of supporting craft and helping designers build their business, oh and she is a mother of two on top of it all.

As our friendship grew she has unwillingly turned into my Mentor, Business Coach, Graphic Designer, Writer and Web Designer all in one.  Oh and she helped me potty train my son too!  She has designed and formed this website and introduced me to the wonderful folks at shopvisible who have developed this site and have been such great folks to work with -Hi Mindy : ).  Petra also introduced me to Kristina from kitchen comunnications who has written all the wonderful text on this site. Her style of writing and intuitive mind about my life and work has made me cry, while laughing. All these folks which I would not have met if it wasnt for Petra.

So I dedicate my first blog to Petra Geiger - She is my hero a true Wonder Women.  Thank you Petra for all your patience and holding my hand throughout this whole project.  I love you!
