An order from Indonesia!
I had the pleasure of meeting a wonderful couple from Indonesia (through the power of the internet of course)
They are going to Lego land in Germany for their honeymoon and needed a diamond lego ring
for the occasion.  The bride to be chose Pumpkin. 

I have been meeting the coolest people from all over the world!

I started making Breast Cancer pins in 2001 to honor my Mom in her second fight against breast cancer-

This week a wonderful women has placed an order for one of my Breast Cancer pins and was happy to share her story with me about her husband surviving his battle with breast cancer! They have become vocal advocates for raising awareness for male breast cancer. I made her a yellow gold pin with a diamond and have donated a Rose gold pin for the silent auction for the fundraiser Night For Pink in Hudson, Ohio.

Her husbands story has inspired me a great deal and I have offered to donate $25 to the Susan G. Komen Northeast Ohio Affiliate for every pin ordered this year.

I am lucky to always meet wonderful people at shows.  In February at the American Craft Council Show I had the pleasure of meeting a women who loved one of my rings (Open Mind # 15).  She told me she was trying to quit smoking and if she succeeds then she will ask her husband to purchase this ring for her.  Last month he contacted me and ordered it for her!
I just mailed it out and felt very honored that one of my pieces was given as a reward for such a wonderful achievement in someones  life.  So once again I am so very thankful to get to do what makes me happy, and as it turns out other people happy too!

Run away without leaving home
In 12th grade I took a jewelry class for fun and found my passion-The very thing  I would end up doing for the rest of my life.
Making jewelry has given me a way to live and a means to make a living.  I am very grateful to wake in the morning, make 6 steps outside my bedroom and I am in my studio-
But with a weird year behind me and an uncertain one ahead. I will continue to stay positive because I have been very fortunate to have a successful business.  I have felt lucky that there are consumers who want hand made crafts and objects that become sentimental.

So I thank my lucky stars that I get to continue to do what I love to do!

Every friday morning around 7 am you will find me in my pjs running across the lawn to my neighbors -may they remain nameless (Hi lesa and Jason!) lugging my recycles over to their bins.  My town doesnt recycle all the good stuff
so I am so excited to have this (illegal) opportunity to be able to recycle
cardboard, junk mail and food cartons.

Recycling legos and junk mail all in a days work.
